Jurgen Klopp has made two changes for Liverpools clash against Newcastle, with Roberto Firmino and Jordan Henderson dropping out of the side.

Divock Origi and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have come into Klopps starting XI as the Merseyside giants return to Premier League action against the Magpies at Anfield.

The Reds will be looking to maintain their 100 per cent record in the Premier League after wins over Norwich, Southampton, Arsenal and Burnley.

On Liverpools changes, Klopp told BT Sport: Of course, we have to think about these things.

Hendo is ready, Bobby is probably ready, but its not about being ready – its a bigger picture and we have to think about that.

We could have made more changes but we need the rhythm as well and it makes not too much sense. A lot of games are coming up.

We did it with all, we respect Newcastle too much for rotating for rotating. We really want to have the best starting line-up we can have for the specific opponent and thats what we thought is the right one.

We could train with that group since Wednesday or so and that helps; OK, Fabinho came in a bit late but with all the others we could train since Wednesday. So thats good and thats what we try to use.

While Newcastle are sitting down in 14th, Klopp insists Liverpool are in for a challenge on Saturday afternoon.

Its really strange, they had something like 20 per cent possession at Tottenham, but deserved the three points, to be honest, the German said.

Because with this 20 per cent possession, they did a lot of really good stuff and its difficult.

For us tomorrow, the game will be a real challenge and we need pretty much everybody on their toes.

I dont know when we had the last home game, the last away game was Burnley, so three weeks probably when we last played at home against Arsenal. We need that atmosphere again at 12.30. If we have that atmosphere then we can do something.

He added: It was really difficult with Rafa leaving and stuff like that,” Klopp continued. “Even I was not too much in football at that time, but I felt everybody informed me about that.

For Steve, for sure, a difficult job. Following after Rafa is probably never easy but in this specific case, really difficult. He did fantastic so far, really fantastic. Close games, OK the [second] one against Norwich maybe not too nice but since then close games and good results as well.

Very difficult to play. They kept pretty much the style of last year. Rondon got replaced by Joelinton – if youre looking for a player who plays similar to Rondon, perfect choice. He can keep the ball, hes a proper threat, has the speed and all that stuff.
