Fred hit back at his doubters on social media ahead of Manchester Uniteds return to action this weekend.

United welcome unbeaten side Leicester City to Old Trafford on Saturday, but Fred is yet to be called up to a matchday squad by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season.

Signing Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer of 2018 was considered a big coup for the Red Devils, with Pep Guardiola reportedly desperate to sign the midfielder for Manchester City.

However, the 26-year-old has struggled to adjust to the Premier League and is the only senior United player yet to feature this season.

Solskjaer appears to feel he can do without Fred, but the Brazilian fired off a message to his doubters ahead of the return of club action.

He said: Stay focused, and dont let anything stop you to accomplish your goals.

Solskjaer has said publicly Fred will be given a chance to impress, with Uniteds season set to get into full swing this month.
