Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi wants assurances over playing time next season before agreeing to sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge.

The 18-year-old is currently sidelined with an Achilles injury that has scuppered Bayern Munichs hopes of signing him this summer.

The Bundesliga giants had three bids rejected for the winger in January and Hudson-Odoi handed in a transfer request in a bid to force through a move to the Allianz Arena.

Hudson-Odois playing time increased in the second half of the season but the winger is entering the final year of his deal in west London and Chelsea are desperate to ensure that he signs a new one.

The club have offered Hudson-Odoi the no.10 shirt vacated by Eden Hazard as an indication of their belief in the England international but the forward wants greater assurances.

According to the Sun, the teenager only cares about playing time and wants a guarantee that he will be part of the first-team squad next season before inking a new deal.

Part of the delay is also down to the uncertain future of Maurizio Sarri.

The Italian was reluctant to blood Hudson-Odoi last season but hes expected to join Juventus in the coming weeks.
