Ruben Loftus-Cheek could hand in loan request if Maurizio Sarri leaves him out against Wolves

Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek could ask to leave the club in January if Maurizio Sarri overlooks him for tonights clash against Wolves.

The 22-year-old is yet to start a Premier League match this season but has five goals in all competitions and feels hes deserving of a chance.

Chelsea are about to embark on a period in which theyll play nine matches in less than a month and Loftus-Cheek wants to feature heavily.

According to the Telegraph, Loftus-Cheek is already considering his future and could decide to leave if Sarri leaves him out at Molineux.

The midfielder spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace and is aware that the Eagles would jump at the chance to sign him for the second half of the season.

Chelsea do not want to let the midfielder leave but understand his frustrations and feel hes been patient in waiting for a chance.

Marcos Alonso and Mateo Kovacic are expected to recover from knocks to face Wolves.

Alonso was forced off in the 2-0 win against Fulham with a back injury but was able to train yesterday and is in line to start.
