Barcelona are plotting a move to sign Tottenham star Christian Eriksen as a replacement for Andres Iniesta this summer, according to reports in Spain.

Spanish legend Iniesta, 33, is likely to leave the Nou Camp at the end of the season after a celebrated career in Catalonia, with the Chinese Super League rumoured to be his next destination.

And it is claimed Eriksen, 26, is high on Barcas list of targets as they seek to replace their midfield maestro.

According to Don Balon, the LaLiga champions-elect are tracking the Denmark playmaker ahead of the possible move in the summer.

However, Real Madrid have also been linked with the midfielder, who has 14 goals and 11 assists for Tottenham this season and was named in the PFA Team of the Year on Wednesday.

And the report by the Spanish outlet also suggests Spurs' Premier League rivals Manchester United are actually in control of Barcas potential swoop, due to their interest in Real Madrids Toni Kroos.

Jose Mourinho wants to bring the Germany international to Old Trafford this summer and, if that happens, Real Madrid will reportedly prioritise a move for Eriksen.

If Kroos remains at the Bernabeu, though, it appears Barcelona will pounce for the White Hart Lane hero when the transfer window opens.
