Serie A table: Napoli beat Juventus to set up thrilling title race and battle to avoid relegation will also go to the wire

Napoli beat Juventus 1-0 in Turin to leave them within one point of their Serie A rivals

Monday, April 23, 2018

Just look at what Napoli's 1-0 win against Juventus has done for the Serie A title race.

In Turin, as the game appeared to be heading for a draw, Kalidou Koulibaly headed in Jose Callejons corner past a helpless Gianluigi Buffon.

Juventus still have to play Inter and Roma away with games against Bologna and Verona to come at home, while Napoli play Fiorentina and Sampdoria away and host Torino and Crotone at home before the season ends.

As well as the top two, just a point separates Roma, Lazio and Inter in the hunt for the remaining Champions League qualifying places as well as Milan and Atalanta in the chase for Europa League footy. Down at the bottom, meanwhile, the three teams vying to remain in Serie A, are separated by two points, with Cagliari and Udinese not much safer.
