Is Steven Gerrard set for his first job in management?

Since hanging up his boots in 2016, former England captain Gerrard has been coaching Liverpools Under-18s side.
And he has clearly impressed with his work with the Reds youngsters, as Rangers are reportedly lining him up to fill their manager position.
Earlier this week, bookmakers made Gerrard the surprise favourite for the job, which has been empty for seven months after the Scottish side sacked Pedro Caixinha in October 2017.
Graeme Murty has been in interim charge since then but now, according to The Scottish Sun, Rangers have entered negotiations with the former Liverpool midfielder to take over at the Ibrox.
The speculation over Gerrards links to the Scottish club were ramped up on Tuesday when Gers chairman Dave King was pictured at Anfield during Liverpools Champions League semi-final win over Roma.
Kop hero Gerrard was also at the game as a pundit for BT Sport.
If appointed, it would add another dimension to the Old Firm derby, as Gerrard would go head-to-head with his former Anfield boss and now-Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers in Glasgow.
