Richarlison, 20, joined the Hornets from Brazilian side Fluminese on a five-year deal for a fee of £11million.
The forward has attracted the attention of a number of the Premier Leagues top sides after netting five goals in his first 12 games for Watford.
And should Richarlison sign for the Red Devils, this could spell the end for Anthony Martials career at Old Trafford.
United have run out of patience with the Frenchman, who is frustrated at his lack of game time.
Martial has been deployed as a winger numerous times for United even though he was signed as a striker in the summer of 2015.
Javi Gracias side are desperate to keep hold of Richarlison, who has another four years left on his current deal with the Hornets.
But Jose Mourinho looks set to pursue the Brazilian due to his versatility to play anywhere along the front line.
And it is thought Richarlison will be able to take his game to the next level with better players around him.
European sides PSG, Bayern Munich, Juve and Monaco are also interested in the youngster.
