Liverpool teenager Trent Alexander-Arnold has triggered an incentive bonus on his contract.

The 19-year-old signed a five-year deal with the club last summer and he has enjoyed a fantastic season with Liverpool.

A number of clauses were included to recognise his development, and the most recent has been activated after making his 30th senior appearance for the Anfield club.

Alexander-Arnold, who has played much of the season at right-back has now made 39 appearances under Jurgen Klopp.

The academy graduate has excelled at points this season, such as in Liverpools Champions League victory over Manchester City as well as a man-of-the-match display in the Reds last game against Bournemouth.

It is believed Alexander-Arnolds wages have risen significantly to at least around £40,000 a week as a result of his performances.

There are even suggestions the defender could make a late push for an England call-up for this summers World Cup in Russia.
