Stuart Pearce insists Joe Hart isn't sulking over losing his starting spot at West Ham and will fight to get back in the team.
A prolonged spell on the sidelines could affect Hart’s hopes of playing at next year’s World Cup but West Ham assistant Pearce says he has taken his omission in the right way.
Speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, Pearce said: "He is disappointed that he hasn’t been playing. The nature or the game is if someone plays well they might keep the shirt. That is what has happened.
"If it is the goalkeeper we highlight it a lot more than an outfield player but Joe is acutely aware that he has to fight to get back in the team again and he will do that.
"He is a genuine boy and obviously he has got an eye on the international situation and he wants to go to a World Cup, and rightly so. He has given his all for England.
"He is a top quality professional that will roll his sleeves up and say ‘I have got to get back in the team’.”
