Rockstar’s annual Christmas celebrations have begun in GTA V, with a free Christmas tree, a new car, and the promise of Krampus masks.
Christmas is always a magical time in GTA Online, with all the trappings of the holiday season combined with lots of new and interesting ways to pretend to murder people.
If you logon now you’ll find you’ve had a Christmas tree delivered to your virtual apartment, with an even bigger one now sitting in the middle of Los Santos.
It’s also started snowing, which means you can now take part in snowball fights instead of just shooting each other with AK47s.
If you check back each day there’ll be various other season gifts being doled out, including Krampus masks on Christmas Eve.
Also new today, but not particularly Christmassy, is the Ubermacht Sentinel Classic car – which you can pick up from Southern San Andreas Super Autos.
There’s also a new game mode for Adversary Mode called Occupy, which is a capture the flag game for 16 players. To celebrate its launch it’ll be offering double RP and GTA$ until January 8.
The biggest addition to GTA Online this month though remains the James Bond-esque Doomsday Heist, which Rockstar has been pushing with both TV and cinema advertising.
