Ex-Aces owners to swoop for Dikwena?

Cape Town – The former owners of Mpumalanga Black Aces have been linked with a move to take over North West province Absa Premiership club Platinum Stars.

The Morfou brothers, George and Mario, sold the Aces' PSL licence to Cape Town City around 18-months ago.

According to a KickOff website, they are keen to get back into the game at top-flight level and are looking at making a bid for Platinum Stars.

The Rustenburg-based club has for the past few months been constantly linked to a change of ownership.

"There has been meetings. There is progress," a source said of the Morfou takeover bid.

"The Marfou brothers are determined to buy the club. The only challenge now is to relocate the club from Rustenburg to Johannesburg. The discussions are ongoing."

The Dikwena franchise is looking a bit more appealing after coach Roger De Sa was able to string together a very good run of results to get the club out of the relegation zone.
