Chelsea have been drawn against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup semi-finals

Antonio Conte has heaped praise on his players for overcoming Bournemouth in their Carabao Cup quarter-final clash at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues needed an injury-time winner from Alvaro Morata to knock Eddie Howe’s men out of the competition, despite being in control of the game from the opening quarter-of-an-hour.
Willian opened the scoring in the 13th minute, and it was not until Dan Gosling equalised in the final seconds of regulation time that it looked like Chelsea would not secure a narrow win inside 90 minutes.
But with extra-time looming, Morata latched onto Eden Hazard’s back heel and finished past Artur Boruc to secure the latest of victories for Conte’s side.
And Conte was delighted with how his players reacted to Bournemouth’s equalising goal.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Conte said: “[It was] an amazing game. At the end we conceded the draw [sic], but then a fantastic reaction because we scored another goal and reached the semi-finals.
“I think this is a remarkable achievement for us.”
Conte rotated his squad for the cup clash, with the likes of Michy Batshuayi, Willy Caballero and Ethan Ampadu all named in Chelsea’s starting line-up, and the Italian expressed further pleasure that his back-up players put in the kind of performances to please their manager.
“I’m very happy for all the players,” he added. “Usually they are not playing with regularity, but today they gave me good responses.”
