Anthony Martial has finished second behind Kylian Mbappe in the voting for French Young Player of the Year by Telefoot.
The Manchester United player had to make do with second place after seeing his PSG-based peer enjoying an incredible 2017.
Mbappe broke onto the scene at Monaco and helped the French outfit to the Ligue 1 title and the semi-finals of the Champions League. Over the summer he moved to Paris on loan before a permanent deal is secured at the end of the season.
The voting for the prestigious award was shared between a public vote and a panel of judges.
Maxime Lopez of Marseille won the public vote, with Mbappe second and Martial third. The panel placed Martial second behind Mbappe.
The votes were then combined which saw Mbappe win the award with Martial second and Lopez third.

Speaking after his victory, Mbappe said: ‘In the Champions League, I’m representing PSG, and France, because we’re the only French club left. What’s important now is qualifying past Real Madrid.
‘After that is the World Cup, of course. It’s the biggest competition for a footballer and I dream of being there.’
Martial came second despite struggling for form last season in which he notched just four Premier League goals. However he’s been much better this season, with six goals in 16 Premier League appearances.
