Premier League Champions League places: Will December be make or break for top four qualification?

Match-ups against Manchester United and Liverpool are the stand out fixtures for the Gunners as they continue to stutter along in the Premier League. The Arsenal team is too weak and have a habit of coming unstuck around this time of year – something that is a slight worry when you consider they haven’t exactly been flying this time around. West Brom and Newcastle could also prove to be tough opposition to wear down.

December is fast approaching and, while we are not quite into mince pie and Christmas music season yet, the month could prove crucial in determining who makes the top four.

Winter time is traditionally the busiest time of year for the Premier League with each side playing a whopping seven league games in one month.

The so-called 'big six' also have to contend with the final round of group games in the Champions League and Europa League just to add an extra level of difficulty.

Meanwhile most of Europe will be preparing to kick up their feet and enjoy their upcoming winter break.
