When is the Moira release date?

Blizzard have yet to confirm an official release date for the newest Overwatch hero, but many players suspect she may be made available this week.

Moira could even be released as soon as today (14th November) with most new events and releases for Overwatch usually happening on Tuesdays.

Making her available this week would mean she is playable for the Overwatch free weekend that will be taking place from 17th November.

Other Overwatch fans believe she may still be going through testing for a few more weeks, with a more likely release date being in December as part of a Christmas event.

When asked on Twitter yesterday whether a release date had been confirmed, the official Overwatch Twitter account replied that she is ‘still undergoing testing on the PTR’ (public test realm).

She's still undergoing testing on the PTR. We don't have any dates to share.

What are Moira’s abilities?

Moira is a support hero and she is able help her allies with abilities that can both heal and cause damage.

Her main abilities are the Biotic grasp, Biotic orb, Fade and Coalescence.

The Biotic grasp and orb can use her Biotic energy to heal herself and her allies, but can alternatively be used to deal damage to enemies.

Fade lets Moira teleport short distances, whilst Coalescence is a long beam that can bypass barriers and either heal or deal damage.

On her official Blizzard page, it says that ‘Once she’s charged Coalescence, Moira can save multiple allies from elimination at once or finish off weakened enemies’.
