A Horizon Zero Dawn crossover isn’t the only exclusive for the PS4 version of Monster Hunter, as Capcom line-up a beta for this December.
If you liked the look of Monster Hunter: World during Sony’s Paris Games Week show last night then you won’t have long to wait to play it, as long as you own a PlayStation 4.
An exclusive beta is planned to run from December 9 to December 12, with three different quests that can be played either on your own or via online co-op.
Two of the quests will take place in the self-explanatory Great Forest map, while the third will use the setting of the desert wilderness of Wildspire Waste.
As already announced, the PlayStation 4 version will include Horizon Zero Dawn crossover content, including the chance to play as main character Aloy, a unique themed quest, and a Palico (the little cat allies) that looks like a robot.
The content won’t be available at launch, but obviously it’ll never be released on other formats -because Horizon Zero Dawn is a Sony exclusive.

Monster Hunter: World is a multiformat game though, and will be released on January 26 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. There is to be a PC version as well, but that doesn’t have a release date yet.
You don’t need to pre-order in order to join the beta, but you will need to be a PlayStation Plus subscriber.
