New manager Hodgson may well have inherited a poisoned chalice at Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace's start to the Premier League season is a serious cause for concern. They have had a win, a draw, nine defeats and a managerial casualty already.
League position: 20th (four points)
Best game: Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea
Best player: Ruben Loftus-Cheek
The likes of Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke have been injured for most of the season, so fans have taken notice of Loftus-Cheek's talents.
On loan from Chelsea, the youngster has had good moments for the club, but he is still unable to help Palace turn their form around.
If Palace are to have any hope of staying up, talisman Zaha will have to be fit for the rest of the season. They also need Benteke to come back in form to give them a consistent source of goals which they have been lacking this term.
Palace's win against Chelsea shows they can beat any Premeir League team on their day, although it it will be a tough ask for the Eagles to escape the Premier League drop.
