Burnley's stunning 3-2 win against reigning champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on the opening day of the season sent shockwaves around the Premier League, and the Clarets have carried on their great momentum since.

They have taken points off Tottenham, Liverpool and Everton on the road which has put Sean Dyche's side in a healthy seventh spot.

League position: 7th (19 points)

Best game: Chelsea 2-3 Burnley

Worst game: Manchester City 3-0 Burnley

Best player: Ben Mee

None of the players have particularly stood out as Burnley's success has been a result of their playing style of everyone working together to stifle the opposition being executed perfectly.

Burnley are a team that builds from the back and Mee has led the defence effectively in their successful season, so wins the prize as best player.

The season has gone particularly well for Burnley who are currently level on points with Arsenal and Liverpool. There have been no stand out players but everyone has done their jobs well.

The Lancashire club's main concern should be whether they can hold on to Sean Dyche, who's reportedly wanted by Everton. If Dyche stays however, this could be a special season for Burnley.
