Arsenal are reportedly keeping a close eye on Manchester City wonderkid Bobby Duncan.

The 16-year-old striker is the cousin of Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard and has been making a big impression at youth level for City and England.

Duncan made history last year when he became the first England player at any level to score a hat-trick against Brazil, with his treble coming in an Under-16 international.

He is now part of the England U-17 set-up and netted against Portugal earlier this month.

Duncan, who was born in Huyton and has cited Steven Gerrard as a 'big influence', is rated highly by City staff but faces a tough task to break into their first-team in the near future.

Now, according to the Daily Mirror, several Premier League clubs are watching developments and Arsenal are among those keen.

The Gunners are renowned for giving young players a chance at senior level and hope that could tempt Duncan into swapping the Etihad for the Emirates.

City are unlikely to let Duncan leave without a fight having recently lost another of their brightest academy stars, Jadon Sancho.

Sancho, also an Under-17 England international, joined Borussia Dortmund this summer after making it clear he wanted out of City.
