Oleksandr Zinchenko wants to stay and fight for his place at Manchester City instead of going out on loan.
The 20-year-old was sent to PSV last season and he impressed during his time in Holland.
There has been talk the midfielder could go on loan again when the transfer window in Janury.
But the youngster, who started for City against Wolves in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night, has now revealed that he would prefer to stay and fight for his spot at the Etihad.
"My first goal is to stay here – this is my home and I want to play for City," Zinchenko told Manchester City's official website.
"It won't be easy to break into this team, but I'm working hard towards my goal and I want to be a positive influence at the club, on the training ground and in the dressing room and contribute in whichever way I can.
"You have to be professional, work hard and try and improve every day."
