LUC AT THAT
The Uruguay international arrived at the Emirates in the summer and has been instrumental to Arsenal's upturn in form
Lucas Torreira has been somewhat of a revelation at Arsenal this season.
The diminutive Uruguay international is a firm fan favourite already, with supporters even creating a new song for him.
Signed from Sampdoria for £26.4million on the back of several impressive performances at the World Cup in Russia, Torreira was largely unknown before arriving at the Emirates.
However, he has already proven himself to be an integral part of Unai Emerys revolution at the Emirates.
A convincing 5-1 over Fulham on Sunday was the north Londoners ninth consecutive victory in all competitions and suggested an unlikely surge for the title is not quite out of the question.
Should the Gunners stand a chance, they will likely have to hope their 22-year-old midfield enforcer can stay fit.
In 442 minutes WITHOUT Torreira on the pitch, Arsenal have scored nine goals but conceded 10 in total.
By contrast – in the 548 minutes WITH Torreira on the pitch, the Gunners have scored an incredible 20 goals and conceded just three.
If Arsenal are to continue their good form, their Uruguayan enforcer will have to quietly keep going about his business.
