The World Cup might get underway on Thursday afternoon, but the first unmissable bit of action takes place on Friday when Spain meet Portugal in Group B.

It is a mammoth contest between the 2010 champions and the current European Champions, which most assume will go a long way to deciding who will top the group.

Spain have been thrown into disarray after sacking manager Julen Lopetegui on Wednesday, just two days before their first match, replacing him with Fernando Hierro.

Portugal appear to be in the much more stable position, having won the European Championship two years ago in France.
