Lucas Torreiras agent meets with Sampdoria to sort out future amid Arsenal interest

The agent of Arsenal target Lucas Torreira has met with Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero to thrash out his clients future.
The Gunners are working to sign the midfielder this summer and have made an offer of £26.5m.
That is over the 22-year-olds £22m release clause, but it would allow Arsenal to pay the fee in instalments rather than upfront.
Several other clubs remain interested in Torreira, though, including Borussia Dortmund and Napoli.

They are both ready to make formal offers too, and as a result, according to Il Secolo XIX, Torreiras agent has met Sampdoria president Ferrero.
The two met to discuss where the Uruguayan wants to be playing next season as it is likely his release clause will be activated.
Arsenal remain the frontrunners for Torreira, but it is possible Sampdoria could be swayed to go with an offer that is paid in full now.
