Epic Games has now allowed players to sign-up for the new mobile version of Fortnite Battle Royale.

The high number of people signing up saw the Epic Games website briefly crash earlier today and many players still have their fingers crossed that they will get an invite to the game.

It will feature the same graphics and gameplay and it will also receive the same weekly updates.

However, today’s mobile Fortnite launch will only be playable by people who have an Apple device, so when can we expect to play it on Android?

When does Fortnite mobile come out on Android?

Currently mobile Fortnite will only be available to iOS11 users, meaning that it doesn’t yet support Android devices.

If you do have an Android phone you can still sign-up for the mobile version but you may have a bit of a wait before you can play it.

The Fortnite team has suggested that we could be waiting at least a couple of months until the game is available on all phones.

On the Epic Games website it says ‘We expect to rollout Android in the next few months.’

‘If you are on an Android device, please sign up…We’ll notify you when your Android device is supported.’

How to get Fortnite on iOS

From Monday 12th March (today) players with iOS11 can sign-up at to have a chance of getting the iOS Invite for the launch of the mobile version of the game.

Shortly after the mobile sign-up has opened Epic Games will start sending out invites with a link to download the game from Apple’s App Store.

Not everyone will be getting invited to play straight away as the Fortnite team plans to gradually invite more players over the next few months.

Once you have you have access to the game you will also receive invite codes that will let you give friends the opportunity to play with you as well.

You will need to have at least an iPhone 6S/SE, or alternatively an iPad Mini 4, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2 or iPad 2017 devices.
