Chelsea FC news: Alvaro Morata admits he’d find it difficult to turn down Real Madrid
Alvaro Morata joined Chelsea from Real Madrid in the summer

Alvaro Morata has suggested he’s open to a return to Real Madrid in an interview which is unlikely to please the Chelsea bosses.
Morata swapped Madrid for London in the summer when the Blues coughed up £60million to sign him and since then he has scored 10 Premier League goals in 20 appearances.
He signed a five-year contract, but revealed the lure of his first club would be hard to resist.
‘I have to respect Chelsea who have made a great effort for me. And I’m very happy here. But Madrid is always Madrid,” he told Spanish football chat show Espacio Reservado when asked what he would do if Real Madrid called and wanted him back.
Morata hasn’t played for the club since mid-January because of a back injury and manager Antonio Conte isn’t sure when his top striker will be back.
“Players like Morata, for us, are very important and have been missing for a long period of time. I don’t know how long he will be out,” he said on Friday.
“We are struggling a lot to find a solution to solve the pain in his back. If you ask me whether he needs a day, a month or the rest of the season, I don’t know. I don’t know. For this reason, I’m a bit worried. You know very well the importance of the player.”
Olivier Giroud is the only other recognised forward at Chelsea right now, considering the club sent Michy Batshuayi on loan to Borussia Dortmund.
